about this ramen: our infamous vampire slayer tonkotsu. classic tonkotsu served with mayu (black garlic oil), raw garlic and garlic powder. chock-full of enough garlic to ward off even the most enthusiastic bloodsucker. the garlic comes separately, so add as much or as little as you like.

when will it arrive

we ship monday to friday for next day delivery, tuesday to saturday. order by 2pm the day before. delivery is £5.75, free over £60. some postcodes are excluded.

how do i cook it

fifteen minutes, straight from the freezer. thaw the toppings under the cold tap. broth pack into boiling water for 10 minutes, chashu in for the last 2. noodles as instructed, then build. full instructions.

can i collect instead

yes, and it’s free. cardiff, weds to sat evenings and saturday daytime. taffs well, monday to friday in the daytime.

what if i’m not in

please send it somewhere someone will be in to take it. if plans change, you can change the address up to 9am the day before, or once it’s dispatched use the tracking link to leave it in a safe place or divert it with the courier.

do i need anything else

the kit is complete except for anything fresh. we don’t include onions or vegetable toppings, as they deliver terribly. if you’d like an egg, you can add one with the extra toppings.

can i subscribe

This was our 4th time ordering the “at home” kits. They’re so easy to do! The vampire slayer ramen was so good, lovely and garlicky with garlic oil, cloves and powder!

Hands down the best ramen I've had in my life!

Don't walk - run - to Matsudai for their ramen, it was honestly the most flavoursome meal and like a big hug in a bowl!

Tasty but too much plastic

As usual, very tasty Ramen. Online instructions are unclear and don't mention some ingredients but we got by. We've decided however not to buy any more kits because of the amount of plastic used in the packaging and insulation. Please do advertise a change to more sustainable meterials and we'll be back!!

Fantastic: warm, filling, garlicky

Bought one to try it out. Black garlic ramen has always been my favourite so I had high hopes. Its was everything and more, maybe even too much garlic. You have the option to add as much as youd like and I added all of it. The toppings are the same as the tonkotsu but the oil is fantastic and adds so much the dish. I have ordered two more to share with a friend.

It's wild that this is approximately the price of a high-street bowl of noodles, but tastes absolutely unreal.

Love the vampire slayer and the mashed garlic, definitely purchase again, btw they have really good after service, accurate and fast response. One thing I’m not fancy about is the delivery only one Friday that’s really a big problem with me.

Delcious - Lacking guidance

At the time of receiving the order, the assembly card was not present on the website, but I can see it's there now. I used the Classic Tonkotsu guide to help steer me and got pretty close to the intention that way. It turned out delicious and I would happily order again.

Absolutely superb

Tried all non vegan ramen kits and everyone was superb. And so easily to put together.

They weren’t kidding when they described this as a vampire slayer ramen kit. If you like garlic, you’ll love this. So tasty.

I could taste garlic for the weekend after and am relieved to say that my partner and I haven’t had any vampire issues since.

Wow did this pack a mega hit of garlic! Totally delicious. We had an order of the vegetarian version as well as the meat one. Both of us loved the depth of flavour, the extra bits that came with it and the extra added egg. A hearty satisfying meal. Thank you Matsudai Ramen...you never disappoint and customer service is always superb!

The Ramen Experience!

During lockdown I took a greater interest in Ramen, and went as far as to spend a whole day boiling bones, preparing chashu, marinading eggs, and burning garlic black. I was amazing. 100% the best natural ramen chef to grace the earth.
Then, a year later, I stumbled across Matsudai. Hey, I’ll give an up-and-comer a chance against a legend like me?
The Vampire Slayer had me weak at the knees, ashamed of ever having enjoyed Ramen before, it was truly beautiful. I now know I’m a better customer then a cook, but I couldn’t be happier - I will be coming back whenever and wherever I can! Brilliant work and customer service by Matsudai, thank you so much!

Perfect Autumn Ramen

We bought this Ramen for when it’s getting cold and rainy and it did not disappoint! Lovely depth of flavour to the broth and all the toppings on point! Easy to make and assemble too. Would buy again and again
