FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We offer monthly ramen subscriptions. The minimum amount of kits for a subscription is 2, but you could do 3 or 4, or get bumper savings by signing up for a monthly 5-pack! You can skip, reschedule, edit, or pause deliveries anytime you like! And once your contract expires after the agreed minimum number of deliveries have been fulfilled you are free to cancel or carry on.
3 days before your subscription renews, you will receive an email notification. You can reply to that email with your choices and preferred delivery date. Just let us know what you'd like to do - you can add extra items on a one-off or subscription basis, or let us know what you like and we'll pick kits for you each month.
You can log-in to and make the changes manually. To do this, you will need to set-up an account. Once that's done, you can change your address or phone number, or update your credit card information. Again, if this sounds like too much trouble we can often help by doing it for you or, if sensitive information is involved, we can walk you through the issue.
Absolutely! The process is exactly the same as it is for subscribing to ramen kits. Simply go to the extras section, click on the item you'd like, and set up the subscription on the same frequency as your ramen. All set! If you're picking up a pre-paid subscription you can choose the subscription that comes with eggs.
Yes, we tend to offer between 1-3 specials per month and these will all be available as part of the subscription, though there may be an occasional additional charge.
Please bear in mind that you can always skip a shipment if you need a break. If you really do want to cancel then yes, of course, so long as you've received your minimum number of subscription deliveries. You can cancel easily via your online account or just drop us an email and we'll do it for you. But please note, we cannot cancel a subscription before the minimum number of orders is met.
If you have any concerns that we've not addressed here then please just drop us an email to orders@matsudai.co.uk and we'll get back to you with more information as soon as we can.

from 1375 reviewsOfficially I don't eat eggs but these are next level! I always get two!
Everything from Matsudai has been delicious and the communication has been great. The recipe for these eggs is given on the website if you fancy having a go.
The egg comes packaged well and has a great flavour. It compliments the ramen so well and I couldn't eat ramen without one!
Absolutely delicious, I visit your store every time I go to Cardiff without fail.

Partner was extremely happy with gift. Loves ramen, and loves that kind of Japanese art :) very happy
Bought 2 ramen meals as a gift. My daughter and her boyfriend loved it - fresh ingredients made a delicious ramen meal. Delivered on time and in perfect condition. Would definitely recommend.
i bought the subscription for my husband as a gift and our first bowl of ramen did not disappoint. Super tasty. Looking forward to the next one.
Faultless customer service even after I had to rearrange delivery. Delicious ramen! 🍜 Could not have got the quality ramen at home without the delicious and time put into the broths/soups! Will definitely be back to order more! Cute little boxes are fun as a gift to my ramen loving husband!!
No ramen is complete without an extra Ajitama egg.
I confess up front, I'm not vegan or veggie, I pretty much eat anything. But that also means that I try most anything. I've enjoyed all sorts of veggie and vegan stuff for a few years. Matsudai have a way to make their vegan ramen stocks rich, generally using oat milk, and their marinated/cooked tofu slice are a great topping for ramen. Bear in mind that ramen usually has small amounts of topping, so if you have pork chashu it will only be a couple of slices, so someone who normally eats meat isn't forgoing much. The 'sunset' sauce is a good touch (common to both meat or vegan offerings from Matsudai) and gives a pleasant level of spice (and if you want less you just add less). This is truly delicious, and having eaten several of Matsudai's meat versions and their vegan equivalents I can honestly say I am very happy to recommend the vegan versions, they're delicious and as special as anything else they make.
I’ve travelled to Japan and truly understand the significance of this egg. You absolutely nailed it—cooked to perfection, seasoned impeccably, and absolutely delicious. Well done, and keep up the great work! The only suggestion I have is to consider reducing the delivery charge, as it pushes the overall cost just beyond what feels affordable, in my opinion.
Love matsudai, the pleasure of a great ramen at home.

Everything from the thick slices of pork chashu, to the oozing ajitama egg and sharp, umami blast of shio seasoning, is top notch. A ramen to remember.
