I’ve made a few orders for different kits from Matsudai over a couple of years - each and every time they’ve been amazing, really easily prepared, very, very tasty (better than any restaurant chain and a few individual stores where I’ve been able to find ramen!) really pleased with my most recent order and I will be making one again soon!
After voraciously slurping down packet ramen for the last 20 odd years, I finally took the plunge and tried the real thing. Matsudai's Classic Tonkotsu Ramen was a megaton flavour bomb - from the creamy broth to the tender chashu slices, every mouthful was like taking a little trip to Tokyo... Or Cardiff. Get an egg, you deserve it.
Such a good soup! The silky broth, delicate noodles and filling tofu combo brought me back from the almost-dead when I was stuck at home with Covid and no energy to cook. 10/10

The design is super cute, and aesthetically frames the ramen very well. The bowl seems high quality and well made, very happy overall!
Bought one to try it out. Black garlic ramen has always been my favourite so I had high hopes. Its was everything and more, maybe even too much garlic. You have the option to add as much as youd like and I added all of it. The toppings are the same as the tonkotsu but the oil is fantastic and adds so much the dish. I have ordered two more to share with a friend.
