about this ramen: kazuo yamagishi was the first person to offer tsukemen on a menu at legendary shop higashi ikebukuro taishoken some 50 years ago. however, in the last 20 years, it’s become extremely popular in japan, largely for its super-rich, uncompromising flavours. tsukemen, basically, is deconstructed ramen. but don’t let that put you off. unlike most deconstructions, this one exists for a reason - the noodles are shocked in cold water and served at room temperature, allowing the diner to consume their meal a little more slowly than with a bowl of hot, steaming ramen. it makes for a great summer bowl. this variation owes more to legendary modern shops like tomita or ganjya than the more old school shops, using high welfare fosse meadows chicken, niboshi and katsuobushi to create a super-decadent broth to complement the huge portion of thick noodles. delicious, and not for the faint of heart.

unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship to the channel islands, northern ireland, outer hebrides, isle of man, shetland islands, inverness, kirkwall, po boxes and british forces post office locations.

we currently deliver on fridays, saturdays and tuesdays. you can order up to 2pm on the day prior to delivery. i.e. order by 2pm thursday for delivery on friday.

we use fully tracked next-day delivery for every order.
