about this ramen: tantanmen is the japanese take on chinese dan dan noodles. it’s spicy, fresh, rich - a fiery sesame-soy-sauce smack in the chops. this version is soupless - a style that originated in hiroshima but is now a cult classic across japan - and this version is vegan, too. perfect fodder for these summer months.

contents: rich sesame + shoyu mixing sauce; house rayu chilli oil (3 star great taste!); xl portion of thick, flat noodles; vegan mince soboro; menma; + nori. greens, spring onions and egg yolk not included. seasoned ajitama egg not included but available seperately. view the images to see more.

COOKING
ready in fifteen minutes. everything arrives frozen and sealed. add onions and extra toppings, if you like.

thaw the toppings under the cold tap. broth pack into boiling water for 10 minutes, chashu in for the last 2. noodles as instructed. build. full instructions.

Great kit

Had a bit of a problem for the first time ever on this one. Some bits missing, which didn’t annoy me because mistakes happen and I had what I needed in the house. Did worry about no answer when I notified but that was technology throwing one of its spanners in the works. Great meal and I especially appreciate it when omnivores can provide vegan food with as much flavour as their meat-based offerings

All four of us weren't keen 9n the bamboo, as it was a bit limp and spongy. Other than that, it was utterly delicious!! Will order again! Please provide an egg without extra cost :)
